New phone, e-mail for League compliance
services
The Ohio Credit Union League has enhanced
its compliance hotline and e-mail services
in order to better serve the compliance
needs of Ohio’s credit unions. The League
takes its compliance obligations seriously,
and has refined its compliance and
regulatory services by creating a dedicated
hotline and e-mail address exclusively for
compliance queries and questions.

a time? FoolProof, a new online financial
literacy tool endorsed by the Ohio Credit
Union League, is a solution that enables

overcome staffing obstacles. The turnkey
outreach tool has been added to the League’s
comprehensive financial education program to
help credit unions deliver much needed
financial knowledge and project tangible
examples of their philosophical mission to
improve lives.

The Emmy and Herb Wegner Memorial
Awards-winning Biz Kid$ has received a
$30,000 grant from the Ohio Credit Union
Foundation (OCUF) to help underwrite Season
4 of the youth-focused and credit
union-funded financial education program on
public television.

fraternity of the Credit Union Movement that
is described as a life-changing experience.

Directors elected their 2010 officers during
the February quarterly meetings.

Candidates are being sought to serve as
the Chief Executive Officer of Nueva
Esperanza (New Hope) Community Credit Union,
a proposed state-chartered credit union in
Toledo.
Friday the
deadline for state awards nominations
Nominations for the Ohio Credit Union
League’s 2010 Leadership Awards are due
Friday, Feb. 26, at noon. Every credit union
is encouraged to nominate its achievements
for recognition in the state’s premier
awards program. The annual awards program
recognizes the outstanding achievements of
volunteers, professionals, credit unions,
and chapters.

Nearly 1.5 million or 56% of Ohio’s
credit union members can conduct basic
account transactions at 4,000 Shared
Branching locations throughout the United
States, including 281 in Ohio.

CMG debuts online
plastic card risk assessment tool
A new online risk assessment program is
available to CUNA Mutual Group’s (CMG) more
than 4,600 credit union Plastic Card
insurance policyholders. The tool helps
credit unions assess their Plastic Card
program risks and indicates whether a credit
union’s program is in a good, fair, or
cautionary state of security.
